Soon after the official communication from the Royal Spanish Aeronautic Federation was published, was written a memorandum. Now that memorandum has been signed for more than 50 aerobatic pilots in Spain it’s the time to obtain the foreigner support.

MEMORANDUM TO THE ROYAL SPANISH AERONAUTIC FEDERATION TO RETRACT FOR THE LETTER PUBLISHED TO ALL THE SPORTSMEN CUALIFIED FOR AEROBATIC FLIGHTS.
As a pilot, fan and/or aerobatic sportsman, I do consider that the official communication published by the Royal Spanish Aeronautic Federation, signed by its actual president Mr. Manuel Roca and published in his Web site, is degrading and offending the Spanish sport, it is destroying the efforts, sacrifices and results achieved to the moment. In this letter, the Spanish Federation points to four reasons to justify the dissolution of the National Spanish Aerobatic Team.
A. - “As per the low assistance of participants in the last National Aerobatic contest in both categories, Advanced and Unlimited”
As a pilot, fan and/or aerobatic sportsman, as far as I know:
The participants for the unlimited category were at least almost all the actual National Spanish Aerobatic Team members. In any case, there were present all the members of the National Spanish Aerobatic Team that achieved medals in the European Championships in the last three editions: Silver Medal for Team and another Bronze for Team plus gold and silver individually. The Advanced category was declared null since all the sportsmen were training for the international championship or had a physical injury.
B. - “As a consequence of the poor training of the team members that have been elected to be part of the National Team in the last years”
As a pilot, fan and/or aerobatic sportsman for me: The results achieved by the actual members of the National Spanish Aerobatic Team, above summarized, plus the ones obtained in the World Championships, exceeded sample of their excellent level, based on preparation and training along years. Reading point B comes off to a total ignorance of the reality of the Spanish Aerobatic health by the Royal Spanish Aeronautic Federation.
C. - “As a consequence of the lack of good results achieved by the team members of the National Aerobatic Team in the last International Championship”
As a pilot, fan and/or aerobatic sportsman I consider that: Although the intention is to avoid the National Aerobatic Team to participate in the coming European Championship, the sentence makes reference to the last World Championship, where the Team was not shining as it has been doing in the last years. However, at individual level, one fourth partial position and one fourth end in Freestyle category, seems to be adverse results for the Royal Spanish Aeronautic Federation.
D. - “As per the necessity to manage properly the economical support only to those Teams that only guarantee at least a possibility to achieve triumphs or worthy results due to their personal sacrifice and training”
As a pilot, fan and/or aerobatic sportsman I consider and I affirm: That it is absolutely offensive to affirm in public and on an official way that actual members of the National Spanish Aerobatic Team have not done enormous efforts, economic efforts and dedication of its lives preparing themselves to obtain the best results. Results that any country would feel more than satisfied and proud of. To deny the options to achieve “worthy positions” to the Team that has achieved more triumphs and results for the Spanish aerobatics is dementia and shows a total and absolute lack of vision of the reality and potential of our sportsmen.
In addition, as pilot, fan and/or aerobatic sportsman I believe, with this attitude to avoid the possibility to continue representing Spain on an excellent way as they have been doing, leaving without any representation to Spain and dismantling the Spanish Aerobatic Team, will get rid of one of the longest aeronautical sport traditions.
By all this: As a pilot, fan and/or aerobatic sportsman, I feel I am represented as a pilot, sportsmen or fan, somehow, by the Spanish National Aerobatic Team members, and I demand from the Royal Spanish Aeronautic Federation, to public retract from such affirmations, for damaging the members of the National Spanish Aerobatic Team, for damaging their sport career, for ruining the work done for so many years and for denying them to represent officially Spain.
